Through my oil paintings I aim to re-imagine figures in a way that brings to life new sensations and depths of feeling. I am interested in the singularity of life and bringing inner worlds to life visually and emotionally, celebrating the unique complexity and beauty of the individual.

My work balances technical skills with the deep guidance of intuition, imagination and feeling. I am interested in storytelling through re-imagining the human form.

My favourite artists constantly inspire me in my artistic journey, I admire the vitality and spirituality of Van Gogh, the rawness of Schiele and the dark intuitive imagination of Bacon. We are each of us, although ultimately connected in a spiritual sense, a unique and separate mix of experiences, fears, desires and hopes and I aspire to paint in a way that reflects the beauty as well as the anxieties of this separate yet connected experience.
